The carpenters close to you

Beware: this player does not include a wireless link, so if you want to connect it to your network wirelessly, you will need to purchase a wireless link separately. I actually prefer a hard connection, so this wasn t much of a concern for me. So far, watching Amazon VOD and YouTube the carpenters close to you worked flawlessly. I have had a couple of problems streaming Netflix I have broadband through my cable company, and since I live in a densely populated area, I don t think I have enough bandwidth during peak times to stream HD movies from this service. It has frozen on me a couple of times. Overall, I m amazed with the carpenters close to you player. Using your internet connection to stream video directly to your TV is the future. This player takes you there. I m just hoping that content providers embrace this technology so that you can watch anything you want, whenever you want. I was looking for a product that would enable me to better use my netflix subscription. Thats when I chanced upion this particular player. I tried Netflix, and the video is AWESOME compared to my ROKU player Also a great buy!. I was also pleasantly surprised that it came with a sneak preview of Cloudy with a Chance of MEatballs. The movie played beautifully, surround sound and everything. The BLU Ray disc was awesome too. ABOUT MY SETUP: I plugged in the hdmi to my Mitsubishi HDTV. For sound, I connected the optical to my Amp. I have an older model amp which does not have an HDMI. For the internet access, I plugged in the Ethernet via cable to a netgear router which is connected my PC. Simple!. Word OF CAUTION: If you want to connect to the internet wirelessly, you will need to buy a specific Wireless Bridge. I think the BDP 560 comes with a built in wireless card. Got this box since it has the direct internet connection and Netflix, and is a good buy for the price. This is basically an internet computer that also plays BluRay. Have lived with it for about a month now, and am mostly pleased with the performance. Ran a 75 10/100 cable to it from our router and hooked it up via a switch to share the connection with the Dish DVR. Streamed A Christmas Story from Netflix and it had pretty close to DVD quality 16:9 and the streaming was flawless. I was impressed that I could even replay scenes. Playback depends on the quality of the film the 1970 s Superman film was lousy, a 4:3 aspect with poor resolution, but other films such as The Code again like DVD quality and I assume will get better. Lots of other internet playback available, YouTube also but the playback picture is smaller as would be expected for those lower resolutions. You can spend all day just using the internet features. These do require signing up with Sony s Bravia service free. BluRay and DVD playback is great, and as usual for these Sony boxes, they play any disc that is thrown at them.
