Stylewise the 15 second commercial has been inspired by manga artist Sugiura Shiguru, an influence that is not new to the studio. Next to Miyazaki and Takahata being fans of his work, Sugiuras name is to be found on Pom Poko s end credits as a thank you for inspiring the films tanuki.
